Peer Estate is a new company by Qualitas, which delivers institutional grade investment opportunities to sophisticated investors and provides speed and certainty for non-bank borrowers across real estate debt or equity via an easy-to-use online marketplace platform.
Qualitas came to Hardhat looking for a complete branding, UX and website design from scratch they had run a successful investment company offline for over 20 years with a small team of sophisticated investors willing to invest large sums of money into exclusive Australian based real estate projects, but now they wanted to see if the business could work online by opening themselves up to the smaller investment market with a completely new brand.
As with all large scale UX and design projects, we fully road mapped and scoped the project with the client to come to a realistic budget for phase one of the project. Phase one included a full branding process, competitive research/analysis, sitemap, wireframe, design and development.
In order to get a wholistic view of the Peer Estate brand, I put together a branding questionnaire with questions like; "What problem do you solve for your customers?", "What about your service sets you apart from your competitors?" and "What is the primary message do want to convey to your customers?". From there I sketched out several iterations of logo forms and worked closely with the client until they were happy.
The final logo form represented the real estate and commercial aspect of the brand, using a contemporary colour palette that stood out in the marketplace against their key local and international competitors.
